Pep Guardiola showed true class when he congratulated Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter on the upcoming birth of his child.

According to Sportfm.az, the incredible news for the Arter family carries an emotional weight as Harry and his fiancee Rachel suffered the devastating loss of their daughter when she was still born in 2015.

After Manchester City’s win over Bournemouth on Monday night, cameras caught the heartfelt exchange between the City boss and Republic of Ireland international, in which Guardiola expresses his kind wishes: "I’m so sorry for what happened, I wish you all the best.”

Speaking to the press after the game, Arter could not hold back his admiration of the Portuguese manager:

"He offered his best wishes for me and my partner this week, which was an unbelievable touch. He is someone I have a massive amount of respect for. I watched his Barcelona teams – and look at his Manchester City side tonight.

"For me, he is the best manager in the world. I don’t think there’s anybody close to him and what he has achieved.

"For him to offer that to me, I respected it and accepted it with a smile on my face".
